If you watch other YouTube cooking channels (it's allowed...a bit), you'll have already seen a bunch of videos of how to make IKEA's iconic meatballs and sauce at home. The reason for this sudden rush of interest is that IKEA recently released their recipe (on or about 20th April 2020), supposedly so that people stuck at home during the pandemic would be able to get their meatball fix. But is this the authentic IKEA Meatball recipe? No, it really isn't. It's very simple and easy to make, and they do taste great. But in 2009, IKEA released a different version of a Swedish meatball recipe - a little more cheffy and complicated. And of course the real, industrial version lists lots of ingredients, some of which are used industrially but not at home. Anyway, authentic or not, these are lovely meatballs and the sauce is terrific.
